The question I hear most often is “Which Body Wrap Formula works best?” And while there is no precise answer to this, it is a valid question. And what it basically comes down to is how you like to wrap and what you are trying to accomplish with the wrap.
The various body wrap formulas are …
- Sea Clay - a bentonite based pre-mixed and ready to apply clay mixture. The ingredients can vary on this based on who your supplier is. Sea Clay is the most commonly sold body wrap clay and is perfect for those who want to apply the clay directly to the skin prior to wrapping. Home users may prefer the clay to other types of formulas because the clay can be wrapped over with saran or plastic wrap which is far easier to use than the bandage wraps. Clay is one of the best choices for reducing inches and eliminating toxins from the skin.
- Specialty Clays - this can be any clay that contains specific special ingredients for achieving various benefits from the body wrap or for personal preference in aromas or essential oils. TheChocolateBodyWrap.com tells all about the benefits of Chocolate Clay for Body Wrapping which has become a very popular wrap!
- Sea Mud - a bentonite based pre-mixed and ready to apply clay mixture. The ingredients can vary on this based on who your supplier is. The words clay and mud go hand in hand and the formulas are very similar. Some companies add extra ingredients to one or the other. SlenderResults.com adds 3 types of seaweeds to their Sea Mud specifically designed to increase inch loss and assist with reducing cellulite. The Sea Mud by SlenderResults is the best choice for fighting cellulite and reducing inches.
- Dry Mineral - a bentonite based dry mineral, ready to be added to water for soaking the wraps prior to wrapping. Many salons and spas prefer this formula as there is no need to apply anything to the skin prior to wrapping. The bandage wraps soak up the mineral which in turn is wrapped directly on the skin. This formula leaves less mess to be wiped off after the procedure is completed. Dry mineral has the same effects as the Sea Clay, it is just applied differently.
- Herbal - a popular liquid concentrate that includes herbs that are beneficial for the type of body wrap you are performing. Herbal is extremely beneficial if the formula contains all of the right ingredients. Herbs have so many skin benefits that can help reduce cellulite, improve the appearance of stretch marks, and will help reduce inches while toning and firming the skin.
- Aloe Vera - a common liquid concentrate that includes mostly aloe and various other ingredients. There are so many benefits to aloe on the skin! That is what makes this liquid formula so popular! Many salons use aloe as a stand alone body wrap product while others combine it with a clay applied first to the skin. Aloe is an excellent skin healer and soother and perfect for improving the appearance of the skin as well as conditioning the inner layers of the skin.
So to answer the question of which formula works best…. it is all of them! Chose the right formula for the results you are hoping to achieve.
